This 12-volt ignition coil is a direct-service replacement for vehicles running a 12V electrical system. The coil generates the high voltage required by the distributor, which then delivers spark energy to the plugs to ignite the air/fuel mixture. If your vehicle is running poorly, misfiring, or showing signs of weak spark, the ignition coil is a common wear item worth inspecting or replacing.
Rated at 16,000 volts with standard 3.4-ohm resistance, this coil features an epoxy-filled body that allows inverted mounting without leaking. Additional power terminals provide a convenient connection point for other electrical accessories.
Each coil includes a heavy-duty 14-gauge mounting bracket with OE-style bolt-hole spacing for straightforward installation. The bracket is finished in gold zinc plating for corrosion resistance. The coil measures 55mm in diameter and features a distinctive blue body with a brown cap.
