Improved Racing’s CCS Oil Catch Can is a high-efficiency air-oil separator designed to capture oil vapor and contaminants from crankcase ventilation gases before they make their way back into the intake system. With a tested peak filtration efficiency of 85–90%, the CCS helps reduce oil contamination and deposits while maintaining minimal restriction to crankcase airflow. For vintage Porsche engines, particularly those seeing spirited street or track use, it provides an effective way to improve crankcase ventilation while helping keep the intake system cleaner.
The CCS uses a carefully engineered internal separation system that combines a tangential inlet for cyclonic separation with a washable, multi-layer 316 stainless steel mesh filter. An internal anti-splash funnel and bell-mouth outlet help prevent collected oil from being carried back into the outgoing air stream. The compact 3.5 fl. oz. reservoir can be removed with a simple push-and-twist motion, making inspection, draining, and routine servicing quick and straightforward.
Built for demanding automotive use, the catch can features CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum components with a Type II anodized finish, stainless steel hardware, and -6AN O-ring boss inlet and outlet ports. Its modular construction and compact mounting system make it well suited for custom installation in vintage Porsche engine compartments where space is at a premium. An optional remote drain system is also available for installations where direct access to the reservoir may be limited.
