Product details
This B6 cartridge replaces the damper inside a serviceable front strut housing. It is an insert, not a complete spring-and-strut assembly. Monotube construction, a stem upper attachment, and a housing-mounted lower section identify the unit; the existing strut housing must accept the cartridge and its retaining parts.

Fitment & Compatibility
For late-pattern Super Beetle front struts from 1973 on. The 1973 changeover means checking the strut housing and production specification before ordering. Confirm housing dimensions, gland nut retention, and upper attachment with the installer. Bilstein also specifies this insert for selected Porsche applications, which does not make complete strut assemblies interchangeable.
