Product details

The PMO AN Fuel Inlet (PM-O117-0) is a fuel inlet fitting for PMO Induction carburetors that lets you connect the fuel supply with AN hose ends and braided line. PMO says its inlet system gives a higher, more balanced flow rate with leak-free delivery, compared with the Weber banjo bolt setup, which it describes as prone to leaks and capacity limited on high-flow engines. EMPI sells it individually as part of its fuel supply range.

An AN inlet makes the most sense when the rest of the system already runs AN ends. PMO's own fuel pressure control unit is offered with AN-6 fittings (PM-O404-0) or with barbed fittings (PM-O403-0). Match the AN dash size and the carburetor-side thread to the fitting you are replacing before you order.

Fitment & Compatibility

Made for PMO Induction 40mm, 46mm, and 50mm carburetors, which PMO lists as compatible with flat-six Porsche engines from 1965–1998. Weber IDA carburetors use a banjo bolt inlet, so check the inlet thread on a Weber before ordering this fitting for one.

Installation & Tuning Notes

AN fittings seal on their 37 degree flare, so keep thread sealant and PTFE tape off the flare. Pressurize the fuel system with the engine off and check every joint for weeping before the first start.

Common Questions

Do I need AN hose to use this inlet?
Yes. It takes an AN hose end. If you plan to keep rubber hose and clamps, a barb-style inlet is the better match.

Is this priced for one carburetor or a pair?
It is priced each, so order one for each inlet on your setup.
