Product details
EMPI part 43-5417-0 is a 1.80 air corrector for the main circuit of PMO Induction carburetors and Weber IDF, DCOE, and 48 IDA carburetors, used to set how lean the mixture runs at high rpm. PMO, whose carburetor line EMPI now builds, designed its carburetors around Weber's IDF jetting and float technology so they accept commercially available IDF jets. PMO's own jet list includes this part number in its 1.45 to 2.00 air corrector range.
On a 911 the air corrector is the last step of main-circuit tuning. Choose the main jet for the midrange, then raise or lower the air corrector to set the mixture near redline. A 1.85 leans the top end slightly and a 1.75 richens it. PMO's 46mm jet set uses 1.75 air correctors and its 50mm set uses 1.85, so the 1.80 falls between them.

Fitment & Compatibility
Fits PMO Induction carburetors for Porsche 911 engines from 2.0 to 3.6 liters, and EMPI 40/44 HPMX, 40/44/48 IDF, EPC 48/51, 48 IDA, and DCOE carburetors. It does not go in the PMO idle air jet position, which takes the PM-O136 series.
Installation & Tuning Notes
Keep all six throats on the same size and change one component at a time. Test at steady rpm under load rather than with hard launches.
Common Questions
Can I run different sizes on the left and right banks?
Keep every throat matched so the carburetors balance and your results are easy to read.
How many do I need for a 911?
Six, one per throat across two triple-throat carburetors. EMPI sells them individually.
