Product details

EMPI part 43-5423-0 is a 2.10 air correction jet for the main circuit of 40/44 HPMX, 40/44/48 IDF, EPC 48/51, 48 IDA, and DCOE carburetors, used to lean the mixture at high rpm. It is two steps larger than the 2.00 commonly charted for dual 40 and dual 44 HPMX setups, so it is usually chosen when an engine still runs rich at the top after the main jets are right. Typical signs are sooty plugs after a high-rpm run and a rich wideband reading at full load.

EMPI's series tops out at 2.20, so the 2.10 is near the lean end of the range, and it sits above the largest size on PMO's own air corrector list. If a 2.00 is close but slightly rich, try the 2.05 first.

Fitment & Compatibility

Fits EMPI 40/44 HPMX, Weber 40/44/48 IDF, EPC 48/51, 48 IDA, and DCOE carburetors, one jet per barrel. Progressive EPC 32/36, EPC 34, and DGV-type carburetors take a different air jet series.

Installation & Tuning Notes

Move one step at a time and recheck after each change. If the engine starts to pop or feel lean at steady high rpm, the air corrector has gone too large or the main jet is too small.

Common Questions

Will a 2.10 lean out my engine too much?
It can if the main jet is already lean. Confirm the main jet first and check plugs or a wideband after fitting.

What sizes sit either side of the 2.10?
The 2.05 (43-5422-0) and 2.15 (43-5424-0).
