Weber 40 IDF

Maybe you had a carb fire or, you're simply replacing a set of bad "knock-off" Webers with the real deal.  This is the listing for you.

The Weber 40 IDF carburetor is a popular option for various racing purposes, suitable for both Italian sports cars and modified VW engines. With a mild engine of 1500-2000cc, a single 40IDF is ideal, while twin 40IDFs can power engines of 1500-2200cc.

Please note: that this version does not include velocity stacks or a choke mechanism, making it better suited for dusty environments, but may lead to decreased cold drivability. Velocity stacks are available separately if you desire.  Weber deems them unnecessary for this model.

***THIS IS IMPORTANT STUFF (hence the all-caps etc.)*** These are "Redline/Weber" carburetors made in Spain (not the crappy knockoffs you'll find on eBay).  You'll be glad you spent the extra couple of bucks when it comes time to tune them in.  NO... WE ARE NOT TRYING TO SCAM YOU FOR EXTRA MONEY HERE. WE'RE TRYING TO SAVE YOU MONEY. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE!!

Seriously, we tried to tune some knockoffs that a customer delivered for his brand new motor.  We couldn't even get past the air flow balancing let alone the mixture screws.  They were un-usable right out of the box. We spent 3-4 hours trying to tune them vs. 15 minutes.  I'll say it again; we're trying to save you money.
