If that speedo needles bouncing you need to be pouncing on this deal! (funny, not funny?) On a more serious note, these are relatively easy to replace and are usually the cause of bouncing needles on your speedo.
While your in there, check your speedo drive gear at the back of the transmission while you're at it. This is a big spot for leaks as the factories single o-ring has been known to leak.
