Why is my shift knob spinning in my hand? Here's your answer. Pop off the knob using an open end wrench sized to your gear shift lever shaft and remove the old and compressed crush washer. Drop this one in place and lightly tap your cool old original knob back into place. It doesn't get any easier than this fix gang.
