EMPI 70-2860-0 is a set of five zinc Porsche-style lug nuts with an M14-1.5 thread, a ball seat, and a 19 mm hex, for holding ball-seat wheels on M14-1.5 wheel studs. EMPI gives part number N 020 112 1 as the reference. The ball seat is the rounded seat used by stock VW wheels and Porsche alloys, so a stud-converted car keeps its stock-seat wheels. Five nuts mount one 5-lug wheel, and EMPI also makes a bulk single, 70-2860-7.
EMPI pairs this nut with its press-in competition studs, which are chamfered for brake shoe clearance and have a starting shoulder that lines up the nut. The drum stud (70-2850-0) is M14-1.5 x 1.855 inch and the disc stud (70-2810-0) is M14-1.5 x 2.20 inch, both black, sets of five. For a no-machining install, EMPI's thread-in studs 00-9517-0 (five) and 00-9484-0 (four) use the stock bolt holes.

Fitment & Compatibility
Fits M14-1.5 studs on cars running ball-seat wheels, such as stock VW steel wheels and Porsche alloys. Wheels with a 60-degree taper seat need 60-degree nuts such as EMPI 70-2872-0. Cars on 12 mm studs need the M12-1.5 version, 70-2864-0.
Installation & Tuning Notes
EMPI's press-in studs need a 9/16 inch drilled hole, and it may need reaming to 37/64 inch. With the wheel on, confirm every nut clamps the wheel rather than bottoming on the stud.
Common Questions
Will these work on my 60-degree aftermarket wheels?
No. These have a ball seat. Use 60-degree nuts on tapered-seat wheels.
