Product details

The PMO fuel bar, part PM-O406-0, is a fuel inlet fitting that takes the place of the banjo bolt fittings on Weber three-barrel carburetors and is also sold for PMO carburetors on air-cooled Porsche flat-six engines. On a Weber IDA, fuel enters through banjo fittings on the carburetor top. PMO describes the Weber banjo setup as highly prone to leakage and limited in capacity on high-flow engines. Its own carburetors use a redesigned fuel inlet that PMO says delivers a higher, more balanced flow rate with leak-free delivery compared with the OE banjo bolt arrangement.

On a 911 the carburetors sit on top of the engine, so a seeping banjo drips fuel onto hot engine parts and needs fixing promptly. Owners usually order fuel bars when new sealing washers no longer stop a leak, or during a carburetor rebuild. Check fuel pressure once the system is back together. PMO's fuel pressure control units, PM-O403-0 with barbed fittings and PM-O404-0 with AN-6 fittings, are specified for carbureted engines.

Fitment & Compatibility

For Weber three-barrel and PMO carburetors on air-cooled Porsche flat-six engines. Confirm your carburetor model and the fuel line routing between the two banks before ordering.

Common Questions

Why replace the banjos instead of just the washers?
New washers can stop a seep for a while. The fuel bar replaces the banjo fitting itself, so the joint that kept leaking is gone.

Do I need a fuel pressure regulator too?
If your system has no way to control pressure, yes. A new inlet will not fix a pump that runs too high, and PMO offers control units for carbureted engines.
