Converting a Super Beetle to four-wheel discs changes the pressure and bias the master cylinder has to supply, and the stock cylinder cannot do it. This 20.6mm bore dual-circuit unit is the cylinder EMPI calls for on those builds.
Standard Beetles use a different master cylinder from EMPI.
