Product details
The EMPI 43-5421-0 is a 2.00 air correction jet that sets the high-rpm air bleed in the main circuit of 40/44 HPMX, 40/44/48 IDF, EPC 48/51, 48 IDA, and DCOE carburetors. Common HPMX tuning charts list a 2.00 for dual 40 HPMX and dual 44 HPMX setups across engines from 1500cc to 2235cc, which makes it a frequent choice on dual-carburetor VW engines. EMPI ships its HPMX carburetors with 1.60 air correctors, so moving to 2.00 is a large step toward a leaner top end. It is also the largest air corrector on PMO's own jet list.
All four air correctors on a dual setup should match. If the engine is still rich near redline on 2.00s, step to the 2.05, then the 2.10. If it pops under load at steady high rpm, try a 1.95 or a larger main jet.

Common Questions
What air jet do dual 44 HPMXs usually run?
Common tuning charts list 2.00 for dual 44 HPMX setups. Confirm on your engine with plug readings or a wideband gauge.
Do I need four of these?
For a dual-carburetor engine, yes. EMPI sells them individually.
PMB Performance stocks the full run of EMPI air jets if you need the next size.
