Its right-hand 48-vane core and 1.25-inch thickness must match the installed brake package, with the hat supplied separately. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems in Camarillo, California. Its range includes calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and lines for motorsport, street performance and specialized applications. Rotor choice belongs within that complete system: the caliper, pad, mounting hardware and intended duty must work together.

Technical Details

Manufacturer part number: 160-7172-BK

Quantity: One rotor; not an axle pair

Outside diameter: 12.88 inches

Nominal thickness: 1.25 inches

Rotor material: Spec-37 Iron

Construction: 48 curved vanes

Friction surface: SRP Drilled & Slotted

Finish: Black Electro Coat

Approximate weight: 11.50 lb

Factory burnished: No

Dynamically balanced: Yes

Installation orientation: Right-hand

Rotor attachment pattern: 12 x 8.75 inches

Rotor mounting hole / thread: 0.251 inches

Registration / lug inside diameter: 8.25 inches

Far-side inside diameter: 9.46 inches

Opposite-hand companion rotor: 160-7173-BK (sold separately)

Intended use and restrictions: For racing durability, Wilwood recommends comparable HD or GT rotors.
