wilwood-150-28-7912k
Wilwood BP-28 Brake Pad Set for Powerlite/Powerlite 2R, .49-Inch

The manufacturer, Wilwood Engineering, began under Bill Wood in 1977 and operates from Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components: calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and lines for motorsport, street and specialized vehicles. BP-28 brake pads in the .49-inch Powerlite/Powerlite 2R configuration supply four replacement pads. Component selection must account for the requirements of the complete brake system.

BP-28 changes its friction behavior with rotor material and temperature: Wilwood describes medium-high friction on hot titanium or stainless rotors and medium friction at lower-to-medium temperatures on steel or iron. Its competition uses include sprint/midget, dirt oval, lighter road-course cars, drag and off-road applications. Material choice also affects wear, particularly with titanium.

Technical Details

Manufacturer part number: 150-28-7912K

Pad/shoe profile: 7912

Package quantity: 4 individual pads

Compound: BP-28

Catalog thickness: .49 inch

Catalog pad area: 5 square inches

Catalog pad volume: 1.8 cubic inches

Supplied condition: Not pre-bedded; follow the instructions for the selected compound and brake system.

Listed Wilwood calipers: Powerlite 2R Radial Mount; Powerlite

Fitment & Compatibility

This 0.49-inch pad matches Powerlite and Powerlite 2R radial-mount calipers.
