Verify spindle hardware, hub alignment and hoses. These brake components attach to the separately supplied aluminum ProSpindle and sealed hub assembly. Camarillo, California, is home to Wilwood Engineering, the disc-brake manufacturer Bill Wood founded in 1977. Wilwood designs and manufactures systems and components including master cylinders, calipers, rotors, valves, fittings and brake lines. Those parts serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized uses and must be selected as part of the complete brake system.

Technical Details

Hat mounting pattern: 5 × 4.50 / 4.75 inches; verify the mating ProSpindle hub and wheel arrangement

Hydraulic hose selection: Not included; supply suitable hoses and fittings separately

Hardware provision: Included; verify the installed fastener engagement

Not included: spindles, wheel hubs, master cylinder or brake booster

Manufacturer identification: 140-17988-D

Application and supplied quantity: front conversion kit; Sold as a kit.

Hydraulic service-caliper specification: AERO6; 6 pistons per caliper; Black Powder Coat

Caliper attachment: Radial

Brake pads supplied: BP-10

Piston type: Stainless

Service-caliper port: 1/8-27 NPT

Rotor assembly specification: 15.00 × 1.25 inches; Spec-37 Iron; SRP Drilled & Slotted

Wheel envelope: 19 in; the complete wheel-clearance drawing determines fit

Required separate assembly: Wilwood aluminum ProSpindle sealed-hub kit 830-17728; brake kit does not include the spindle or hub

Fitment & Compatibility

The 15.00 × 1.25-inch AERO6 package is the large-rotor selection for Wilwood aluminum ProSpindle sealed-hub kit 830-17728. Purchase that spindle/hub assembly separately and compare the complete rotor/caliper envelope in DS-1623 with the actual wheel. The documented hat uses a 1.75-inch component offset and 5 × 4.50/4.75-inch drilling. Check rotor registration, steering-arm geometry and fastener engagement. Supply compatible hydraulic hoses; this configuration is not established by a generic Mustang II suspension description. The front-steer arm supplied with the separate ProSpindle kit does not establish correct rear-steer geometry; rear-steer arrangements require application-specific steering arms.

Wilwood installation and compatibility information · ProSpindle kit configurations

Before purchase, send PMB Performance the ProSpindle identification, hub configuration and actual wheel measurements.
