wilwood-140-17984-dr
Wilwood Red DP6A Front Brake and 12.19-Inch Drilled Rotor Kit, Aluminum ProSpindle Mounting

Red DP6A front brakes combine six-piston calipers with SRP rotors for Wilwood aluminum ProSpindles. Compare the retained hub and wheel dimensions. These brake components attach to the separately supplied aluminum ProSpindle and sealed hub assembly. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems from its base in Camarillo, California. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Its range of calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications; each part must suit the requirements of the complete braking system.

Technical Details

Hydraulic caliper inlet: 1/8-27 NPT

Rotor dimensions and construction: 12.19 × 0.81 inches; Iron; SRP Drilled & Slotted

Wheel-size reference: 15 in; the complete wheel-clearance drawing determines fit

Required separate assembly: Wilwood aluminum ProSpindle sealed-hub kit 830-17728; brake kit does not include the spindle or hub

Hat mounting pattern: 5 × 4.50 / 4.75 inches; verify the mating ProSpindle hub and wheel arrangement

Hydraulic flexlines: Not included; supply suitable hoses and fittings separately

Mounting hardware: Included; verify the installed fastener engagement

Not included: spindles, wheel hubs, master cylinder or brake booster

Manufacturer part number: 140-17984-DR

Brake assembly: front conversion kit; Sold as a kit.

Calipers: Dynapro 6A; 6 pistons per caliper; Red Powder Coat

Caliper mounting: Lug

Included pad compound: BP-10

Piston material: Stainless

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the six-piston Dynapro 6A brake assembly to Wilwood aluminum ProSpindle sealed-hub kit 830-17728, sold separately. The rotor measures 12.19 × 0.81 inches, with a separate hat specified at 2.135 inches offset and drilled 5 × 4.50/4.75 inches. That hat offset is a component dimension, not a vehicle wheel-track promise. DS-1614 sets the bracket, registration and wheel-envelope checks. Check steering-arm suitability and supply the hydraulic flexlines needed by the particular installation. The front-steer arm supplied with the separate ProSpindle kit does not establish correct rear-steer geometry; rear-steer arrangements require application-specific steering arms.

Wilwood installation and compatibility information · ProSpindle kit configurations

With over 20 years of experience in parts and fitment, PMB Performance can help compare this package with your installation.
