Confirm the separate spindle and hub kit. These brake components attach to the separately supplied aluminum ProSpindle and sealed hub assembly. Camarillo, California, is home to Wilwood Engineering, the disc-brake manufacturer Bill Wood founded in 1977. Wilwood designs and manufactures systems and components including master cylinders, calipers, rotors, valves, fittings and brake lines. Those parts serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized uses and must be selected as part of the complete brake system.

Technical Details

Manufacturer part number: 140-17982

Brake assembly: front conversion kit; Sold as a kit.

Calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Black Powder Coat

Caliper mounting: Lug

Included pad compound: BP-10

Piston material: Stainless

Hydraulic caliper inlet: 1/8-27 NPT

Rotor dimensions and construction: 12.19 × 0.81 inches; Iron; Plain Face

Wheel-size reference: 15 in; the complete wheel-clearance drawing determines fit

Required separate assembly: Wilwood aluminum ProSpindle sealed-hub kit 830-17728; brake kit does not include the spindle or hub

Hat mounting pattern: 5 × 4.50 / 4.75 inches; verify the mating ProSpindle hub and wheel arrangement

Hydraulic flexlines: Not included; supply suitable hoses and fittings separately

Mounting hardware: Included; verify the installed fastener engagement

Not included: spindles, wheel hubs, master cylinder or brake booster

Fitment & Compatibility

The four-piston Dynalite kit attaches to the aluminum Wilwood 2.00-inch-drop ProSpindle and sealed-hub assembly 830-17728. Its 12.19 × 0.81-inch rotor/hat uses the documented 5 × 4.50/4.75-inch hub drilling. Obtain the spindle/hub assembly separately and verify the actual steering arrangement; Mustang II-style geometry alone is not a vehicle fitment guarantee. Follow DS-1613 for registration-ring seating, bracket alignment and wheel clearance. Suitable hydraulic hoses are separate. The front-steer arm supplied with the separate ProSpindle kit does not establish correct rear-steer geometry; rear-steer arrangements require application-specific steering arms.

Wilwood installation and compatibility information · ProSpindle kit configurations

PMB Performance brings over 20 years of parts and fitment experience to component selection.
